The purpose of the 21-Day Daniel Fast is to give us an opportunity to specifically set aside time to focus on more deeply connecting with God, that we as a community will be empowered spiritually!

21-DAYS EARLY MORNING SERVICES
Dates: January 2-21, excluding Sundays (Reminder: Saturday, January 12 is G2G Vision Worship)
Time: 6:20 AM (personal prayer time starts 6:50 AM). Doors open 6 AM.
Location: KDC Hyssop Hall (Weekdays, M-F), SRCC Main Sanctuary (Saturdays, held in Korean with translation)
Important Note: Saturday, January 19 is during Converge Conference. Early morning service will still be held at the SRCC Main Sanctuary for those who will not be attending Converge.
There will be a time of praise, message, and prayer. We invite you to join us as we begin the new year seeking God's guidance.
What is the Daniel Fast?
The Daniel Fast is a powerful spiritual discipline of fasting and prayer. In participating, we can open ourselves to the Holy Spirit. When we have a sincere desire to seek God and approach Him with a contrite and repentant heart, He will minister to us in a powerful way. The blessings, breakthroughs and revelations we gain through this experience can be life-transforming.
Suggested Fast Plan:
Skip one meal entirely
Abstain from meats and processed foods (i.e. eat fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, etc.)
Drink water regularly
Abstain from social media for leisure
Read the Bible and pray in the time you would normally do these things
To humble ourselves before God, repenting our sins and surrendering to His will for our life
For spiritual awakening and revival in our hearts and our church
How to Enter into the Fast
The best way to enter into 21 days of long fast is not to eat heavily before you begin. If you have medical issues such as diabetes or hypo/hyperthyroidism, you should ask your doctor before committing to the fast. Doing a media or coffee/dessert fast may be better for you if you are not in the best physical condition. If you are pregnant, you should only look into doing what is suggested above.
How to Break the Fast on the 22nd
On the day you come off of the fast, you should avoid buffets, raw fish, and large consumption of meat. You should slowly introduce meat into your diet and avoid any kind of alcohol for the first 48 hours. Watching your diet for the first seven days is crucial to completing your Daniel fast.
