About Summer of Hope

Summer of Hope came about by a group of men and women coming from diverse backgrounds with a heart to serve and share the message of love back into the community. From the synergy of the group, an idea of a positive musical and creative event was born. With zero budget, minimal financial resources, and hearts to serve the community, on June 23, 2018, the Summer of Hope event became a reality.

For 2018 we wanted to make a difference for the kids and youth in our community. So, we partnered with three organizations Olive Crest, Project Kinship, and OC Social Services to support and make sure that we positively impact the kids and youth in our community. In addition, to these three amazing agencies our local church communities from various ethnicities and backgrounds laid aside barriers to come together and support the event and pour into the participants by serving and helping.

Along the way we witnessed several amazing things…over 150 volunteers, 20 churches, many corporate sponsors came together to help the community.

The momentum, commitment, and support continued as Summer of Hope 2019 delivered the message of hope and salvation through music and the performing arts. Due to the pandemic and public health and safety restrictions, Summer of Hope 2020/2021 event was placed on hold.

Summer of Hope is now back! As we prepare for Summer of Hope 2022, we hope that this event will be a catalyst for bringing people from all walks of life and backgrounds together to celebrate life and share HOPE in Christ as a community. See you there!
