Statement Regarding the HolyWave Lead Pastor Search
With Pastor Jeff’s transition at the end of last year, we entered this new year with Pastor Jonas as the interim HolyWave Lead Pastor. However, in order to fill the position on a permanent basis, our church leadership is moving ahead to get the selection process started. This statement is to inform you regarding the steps that are currently being taken, and to ask for your partnership in prayer.
We would like to let you know that a Search Committee for the HolyWave Lead Pastor position has recently been formed and launched. It consists of 9 members:
Senior Pastor: Chang Soo Ro
HolyWave Elders (3): Marty Oh, Andy Kim, Wonbae Choe
KM Elders (3): Yong Q. Park, KwanJoong Kim, Chris Park
HolyWave Ordained Deacons (2): Jung Park, Ken Lee
The Committee had its first official meeting on January 23, and is committed to a fair and transparent process. More announcements will follow in the months to come as the Committee members prayerfully define candidate qualifications, do an open recruitment of internal and external candidates, and go through the review and selection process.
We want to ask our HolyWave congregation to join us in this important process through prayer. Please pray for the Committee members as they seek to discern the Lord’s will together and to yield to the leadership of the Holy Spirit. Let’s also pray that this would be a season of spiritual growth for our HolyWave congregation as weplace our trust in His sovereign plan.
